You can get to Vandenesse-en-Auxois by bike or boat.
Burgundy’s prestigious channel winds through the Auxois hills on its way from the Seine to the Saône.
Amateur sailors will enjoy stopping off in the Vandenesse basin from where they can admire the old fortified village and medieval castle of Châteauneuf-en-Auxois.
Bike riders can take the towpath along the channel all the way to Dijon, then reach the Saône and eventually end up in Saint-Jean-de-Losne.

After visiting the museums, countless castles and citadelles, archaeological sites and abbeys, venturing into the cellars of the most famous wineries, you will certainly enjoy wandering in the peaceful and picturesque countryside…
